Players will be on their toes all the time, constantly changing positions and lunging and exploding in different directions to retrieve and return the shuttle, involves intense mental concentration, akin to chess, continually anticipating and pre-empting the opponent’s moves. The sport demands excellent fitness, aerobic stamina, agility, explosive strength, speed and precision.
